I'd add one more thing - how to market your book. Most authors just publish their book and wait. I always recommend spending as much time and effort promoting your book as you do writing it. Almost nobody does that.

So, if you spent 500 hours researching and writing, you should spend 500 hours getting your book into the marketplace.

With Fanocracy, for example, I recorded over 100 podcast episodes as a guest on other people's shows and asked each to hold the episode until the week of publication on January 7. It was a fabulous way to get the book known. And that was just one technique I used.
